Kat Von D Ladybird Palette

Kat Von D "Ladybird" palette is a new palette filled with all matte eyeshadows and an eyeliner pencil. These eyeshadows are smooth and pigmented. The artwork you'll find on the palette is gorgeous and the coloring resembles the colors you'll find within the palette. Every Kat Von D palette I've owned (which is very many!) has never disappointed me, and Ladybird is no exception. These matte shadows are perfect for a soft look and have many neutral colors that can be used in a professional setting. These shadows are super blendable and they are so easy to create infinite color combinations with. I would highly recommend this palette if you love soft, matte, and blendable shadows.

MAC RiRi Woo Lipstick!

MAC RiRi Woo Lipstick!

I finally received my much anticipated "RiRi Woo" lipstick! I'm in LOVE with it! I would describe it as a classic red that has some brightness to it, but is still a totally wearable red. The texture is a bit drier and harder, but that's to be expected with a matte (Retro Matte) lipstick. Even though the texture may feel a bit dry at the touch, it does not necessarily dry out my lips. As to be expected with matte lipsticks, RiRi Woo also last quite awhile, about 4 hours until I notice it starting to fade away. Overall, I would highly suggest this lipstick to any red lippy lover, it has an adorable name and has great quality which makes it worth it to me!

Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow in "Zodiac"

Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow in "Zodiac"

Out of the 7 fairly new Moondust eyeshadows from Urban Decay, Zodiac was the first one that stood out to me so I decided to try it out! Zodiac caught my eye because of how many sparkles and different colors seemed to be present in this eyeshadow. When tilted one way you can see a strong yellow-green, in another way you can see brown and even hints of purple! Zodiac seems like an eyeshadow that you can use with so much versatility! The texture of this eyeshadow feels similar to that of a regular Urban Decay eyeshadow - silky and soft, this time it's amped up with glitter! I was surprised that this eyeshadow is as soft as it is including the amount of glitter, with no grittiness. I also had no fall out with this eyeshadow either when I used a flat brush to apply. Overall, this is a fun and gorgeous color with sparkle that definitely resemblances moondust! I had no problem with the shadow itself, it's high quality and versatile. I will be picking up more in the future!

LORAC Mint Edition Palette

LORAC Mint Edition Palette

The LORAC Mint Edition Palette is a new and limited edition palette that has 8 eyeshadows, 1 blush, 1 highlighter, and comes with a pink lip gloss!

For the look above, on the eyes I used the black (left side of the palette, bottom right square) to accentuate the creases of the eyelids. I blended out the black with the mint (left side of the palette, bottom left square), and then for the highlight I used the cream color (left side of the palette, top left square). For the center part of my eyelids, under the black, I used the shimmery white (right side of the palette, top left).

For my black eyeliner, I used MAC “Blacktrack” Gel Eyeliner, and for the white eyeliner on my waterline I used MAC “Fascinating”.

For the cheeks, I used the blush and highlighter in the palette for a nice peachy glow! I also used the lip gloss that came with the palette called “Retro”.

I really love how high quality and versatile this palette is, and I think $42 is worth it! The eyeshadows are super pigmented and soft, as well as the blush and highlighter. The lip gloss is also really nice and light, yet stayed on my lips for a long time!

Also the packaging is super cute :)

OPI Mariah Carey Liquid Sand Collection

OPI's new Mariah Carey collection is introducing a new formula of nail polish, Liquid Sand! When I first saw these I know I wanted to try them. I think it's wonderful that nail companies are branching out and trying new things, and this is definitely a product that caught my interest!

I used 3 coats of polish in all four pictures.

"The Impossible" is a bright pink-red with multiple darker pink shapes included. There are stars and differently sized circles in this polish. This one is the star of the show for me.

"Stay The Night" is a black-grey with dark red sparkles. This looks like volcanic ash and is really mysterious looking.

"Can't Let Go" is a purple liquid sand, this polish is beautiful but in comparison to others the most basic with no other additions.

"Get Your Number" is a bright blue with different color sparkles. This one is the most sheer of the bunch since you can still see my nail lines!

Overall, the Liquid Sand formula is definitely a personal preference. While some girls prefer a shiny and delicate manicure, others would prefer something new or different than the usual! The wear time is great because of how well it adheres to the nail, you can really feel it when you're wearing it. I personally really like the Liquid Sand's.. but one thing that really would deter me from wearing them is how hard it is to take it off with nail polish remover. I have to sit there for quite a bit longer than I normally would with this formula. That can be a big turn off if you're thinking of getting these. Otherwise, they are definitely gorgeous in person and eye catching!
